We are happy to receive donations of specimens that are vouchers for scientific studies, have historical significance, or enrich our taxonomic or geographical representation. Please contact the Curator about giving specimens to our collection. For information on how to make good specimens see Utah State University's webpage that deals with this topic. Although it is designed as part of a taxonomy class exercise, the page gives useful general information about specimen preparation.

The OSU herbarium maintains active exchange programs with herbaria worldwide. We can provide northeastern North American and southern South American specimens, as well as occasional material from other parts of the world. If you are interested in exchange of specimens, please contact the Director.
